HI-BIC                                                          Hip Movement

   

Bicycle Hip 

   AKA: Moroccan Hip Circle

   Base Move(s):  Hip Drop, Hip Lift, Hip Twist 

    

    

Visualize: your hip is the spoke of a bicycle and you want it to rotate back (or forward)

    

Tip: the more bend in L knee, the bigger the movement

    

Back

    Arm Position: L arm up on L side of head with R arm down and framed around hip

    Place R foot in point with all weight on L.

    Drop R hip down.

    Twist R hip forward (maintain drop).

    Lift R hip up (maintain forward position).

    Twist R hip back to center (maintain lift).

    Drop R hip to neutral/center.

    Make it smooth and repeat.

       

Forward

    Arm Position: L arm up on L side of head with R arm down and framed around hip

    Place R foot in point with all weight on L.

    Drop R hip down.

    Twist R hip back (maintain drop).

    Lift R hip up (maintain back position).

    Twist R hip forward to center (maintain lift).

    Drop R hip to neutral/center.

    Make it smooth and repeat.
